4 Days, 4 Championships, 4 Disciplines!

Four days of non-stop gymnastics action is on offer showcasing the amazing skill of Britain’s best gymnasts and the diversity of our spectacular sport.

You’ll be treated to an incredible feast of gymnastics with multiple disciplines and age groups uniting under one roof competing for prestigious British medal titles.

Thursday 27 and Friday 28 July – Aerobic Gymnastics British Championships                                    

Aerobic gymnastics is bursting with high energy music and displays. With routines performed either individually or in groups in a blur of muscle-burning jumps, lifts and lunges. Qualifying and finals take place over Thursday and Friday.

Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July – Rhythmic Gymnastics and Acrobatic Gymnastics British Championships

Rhythmic gymnastics is all about spell binding routines performed on the floor. Watch as our gymnasts compete gracefully mastering the ribbon, the hoop, the rope, the clubs and ball. There are qualifications and finals across all three days.

Acrobatic gymnastics has been made famous by performers like Spelbound and Cirque Du Soleil.  Requiring an extraordinary amount of courage and trust, gymnasts in pairs or groups perform spectacular choreographed routines with intricate balances, exciting multiple somersaults and with partners being dramatically thrown and caught to wow the crowd. Qualifying will take place on Friday and Saturday with the finals on Sunday.

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July – TeamGym British Championships and GB Gym for Life Challenge

TeamGym is a fantastic combination of team floor displays and thrilling somersaults on the tumble track and trampette. Team spirit really shines through the impressive routines providing great entertainment for those watching. The British Championships will take place on Saturday, with TeamGym Challenge on Sunday.

The GB Gym for Life Challenge showcases display teams who perform their routines festival style, to a large audience and a panel of evaluators. Prepare to see exciting and creative performances from children to adults of all abilities. Gym for Life Challenge takes place on Saturday and Sunday.

Friday 28 July - British Gymnastics Gala Evening

Friday evening sees some of the best festival teams across the UK take to the stage to perform dynamic, high quality routines showcasing the breadth of this great sport, including rhythmic, artistic, TeamGym, acrobatic and aerobic gymnastics. You’ll be amazed and in awe of the power, elegance and grace on display, as well as team spirit, vitality and energy.


You can buy either individual day tickets or a multi-day ticket. Tickets give you access to the whole arena area, so you can wander between the different halls to see all the gymnastics action taking place that day. The Gala Evening is not included in the day ticket price, and can be purchased separately.

The full four-day event pass is the equivalent of two day tickets so you get two extra days for free.

From the south...

Virgin Trains operates hourly, direct services from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street (with a journey time of just over two hours). Other long-distance rail services also operate into Liverpool Lime Street station.

ACC Liverpool is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street or a short taxi ride. You can also transfer at Lime Street onto the underground Wirral Line trains to James Street station (10 minute walk) or catch the CityLink Route C4 (7am – 8pm) directly to ACC Liverpool. If travelling from outside Merseyside, you can catch an underground train to James Street station from Lime Street station, inclusive of the cost of your ticket.

Flying into Liverpool John Lennon Airport...

A taxi from the airport to the city centre will take approximately 20 minutes or the express bus service Route 500 will take approximately 25 minutes, dropping you off within a five minute walk of ACC Liverpool.

Most Liverpool city centre bound buses will call at either Queen Square bus station (a 15-minute walk) or Liverpool ONE Bus Station, which is only a five minute walk to ACC Liverpool.

The CityLink Route C4 bus links Queen Square bus station, James Street rail station and Liverpool ONE Bus Station to ACC Liverpool. CityLink Route C4 operates every 20 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sundays, between 7am – 8pm, with a maximum fare of £1 per journey. Merseytravel prepaid tickets, National Concessionary bus passes and Arriva day tickets are all valid on this service.

For all car journeys it's best to follow the white on brown tourist route signs for the Waterfront. These signs are visible on the major routes into the city. Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is situated on the Kings Dock directly adjacent to the south side of the Albert Dock. Upon arrival, the Kings Dock entrance is clearly sign posted.

From the North...

Leave the M6 at junction 26 and follow signs for M58 Liverpool. Follow to end of M58 and then take signs for A59 Liverpool. Continue to follow Liverpool City Centre until picking up signs for the Waterfront. The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is signposted 'Waterfront' on the city wide 'available spaces' signage. 

From the South...

Leave the M6 at junction 21A and take the M62 to Liverpool. At the end of the M62 follow signs for Liverpool City Centre along Edge Lane, picking up and following signs for Waterfront. The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is signposted 'Waterfront' on the city wide 'available spaces' signage.

The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park has 1,600 secure, covered spaces, and there are more car parks within five minutes’ walk. The Waterfront Car Park is signposted “Waterfront” on the city-wide “available parking spaces” signs. These signs provide live information as to the number of available spaces. Fees operate on a sliding scale as follows:

£2 for up to 1 hour 
£5 for up to 2 hours 
£7 for up to 5 hours 
£10 for up to 9 hours 
£15 for up to 24 hours
