Echo Arena Box Office relocates to new ticket outlet

18 Jul 12 TicketQuarter

Echo Arena is relocating its box office to Queen Square, Liverpool city centre, to make it more convenient for customers to buy tickets.

The counter service will move from the venue to the recently opened TicketQuarter outlet, located within the Merseytravel Travel Centre, from July 23, providing a city centre service for advance sales of tickets for arena events.

The box office will still open at Echo Arena for ticket collection, sales and customer service from noon on event days only and for special on-sales which will be publicised in advance.

The decision was made to move the arena box office counter service to a new permanent home at TicketQuarter, which is run by the arena's team of ticketing experts and sells tickets for Echo Arena and more than 500 events across the North West, after receiving positive feedback from customers.

Tim Banfield, commercial director of ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, said: "We've had an excellent response from customers since we opened TicketQuarter in April.

"People are finding it is much more convenient to be able to drop into an indoor box office located in the city centre and purchase tickets for the arena as well as for hundreds of events across the North West.

"We are always striving to improve customer experience and having a box office counter service located in the city centre will be more convenient and provide greater flexibility."

Forthcoming Echo Arena highlights include Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, John Bishop, George Michael and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Echo Arena has been established as one of the North West's leading entertainment venues for more than four years, welcoming artists including Beyonce and Sir Paul McCartney as well as hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards.  Other highlights include BBC Sports Personality of the Year, the Davis Cup and sell-outs from comedians John Bishop and Michael McIntyre.

TicketQuarter sells tickets for hundreds of music, comedy, theatre and arts, family entertainment, exhibitions and sport events across the North West offering a huge choice in entertainment.  Recent event announcements include Sleeping Beauty which will be held in a specially-built big top adjacent to Echo Arena.  Venues selling tickets through TicketQuarter include O2 Academy, Farmaggedon, Chester Racecourse, Epstein Theatre, St Georges Hall, St Helen's Theatre and the Floral Pavilion.
