Supercross first on sale!
One of the most spectacular sporting events in the world is coming to the ECHO Arena Liverpool.
Supercross, the indoor version of motocross, which features high jumps and super quick racing from some of the most skilful motorcycle racers around will be at the arena in January - the start of Capital of Culture Year in the city.
The ECHO Arena Liverpool will be transformed into a four-lane dirt obstacle course using more than 5,000 tons of soil. High aerial jumps and challenging course obstacles will be created for some of the world’s top American and European Supercross riders.
The event will take place on January 25 and 26 and is being promoted by Future West.
John Hellam, CEO at Future West, said: “I have no doubt that we can and will put on an amazing show for spectators in this awesome new building. We are absolutely delighted to be coming to Liverpool city centre and the ECHO Arena Liverpool in particular with this event.”
Some of the world’s top riders have already been confirmed for Liverpool, including the 2005 British Supercross champion, 18 year old Colton Facciotti, from Canada.
Tim Banfield, General Manager of Echo Arena Liverpool, said: “It’s great to have this spectacular event as it is fantastic family entertainment and also shows the great versatility of the Arena”.
